Stand Up for Our Flag

I was thinking about all those multi-millionaire pro-football players who refuse to stand for our national anthem. I’m guessing that any family in America can live quite well on, say, $100,000 per year. How many of these America-haters have kept $100 grand for themselves and have given most of their huge salaries to support the people they feel America is abusing? How many of them spend, say, 20-hours a week working as volunteers to help such people? I’m guessing the answer is right around zero. They are simply jerks who want publicity for doing nothing (kneeling instead of standing)—not concerned adults who put their money and time where their mouths are. (I’m sure a few of them are donating to hurricane relief—because it’s cool to do so, but not big bucks to the people they say are being hurt by our government.)
I have defended with my life the right of all Americans–including these jerks–to protest against the government. But i also have the right to protest against any company-in this case, the NFL & the teams that these jerks play for–that allow their people, while on duty representing the company, to act in a way that degrades the sacrifice of all serving military and veterans and their families. We took an oath to support and defend the Constitution–and that is represented by our flag; when we die we get buried under that flag. Indeed, so do police and other first responders who daily put their lives on the line to protect people they don’t even know.
So, as long as the NFL and the various NFL teams permit such behavior on the field—I hope you go broke as good Americans stay away from you in droves. You, NFL, are disgusting.
