Iran Hostage Crisis

Today in 1981, minutes after Ronald Reagan became president the 52 American hostages were released by Iran. Iranian “student” attacked and captured our embassy; note: an attack on an embassy is an act of war. But Jimmy Carter was president, so we complained to the UN. After 2 weeks they released all non-Americans and all women and minorities. The 52 white males were held 444 days and were seriously abused. There was one attempt at a military rescue (I was a mideast war planner at the time); there were great troops who tried to implement a poor plan that resulted in chopper crashes in the desert, 8 Americans killed, and no hostages rescued. The same jerks are running Iran today; let’s just say that there is absolutely no reason to trust them.
