I was very disappointed with the results of the presidential election last Tuesday. But in America, political opponents are just that–oponents; they’re not enemies. We’re all Americans, and we have a great variety of opinons and values–but our greatest value is rule by the majority–and the majority has spoken. In many other countries, the supporters of the unsuccessful candidates take to the streets, burning and rioting–we don’t do that here.br /br /As Americans we get behind our new president and seek to make him successful–because his success is our country’s–therefore, our–success. There are no perfect people, therefore, no perfect presidents–and the Republic has shown itself to be quite resilient. Do pray for president-elect Obama.
