I’m very sure that all liberals don’t see our military as something to be used for their personal pleasure, but their national leaders sure do. Speaker of the House Pelosi and her followers used the 2010 Defense Appropriations bill to sneak in funding for three luxury jets for their personal transport. Mrs. Pelosi, a multi-millionaire, already uses a very large military transport to fly her back and forth to Washington—she needs a big one because stopping for gas is beneath her. Total projected cost to you for these new aircraft: hundreds of millions. These are the same people who profess a love of the environment, a desire to minimize America’s carbon footprint, and concern about spending. If you believe that, I’ve got some swampland in Florida to sell you. We un-american Americans protested so much that they canceled the plane order this week. But if they hadn’t been caught red-handed, our liberal leaders would’ve been flying in luxury as a part of the military budget. The military budget is for the defense of our nation—not for the leisure of any self-important elected officials. Wow, it just occurred to me—elected officials are there to serve us—not us to serve them.
