Despite all the comments of the apologists, I can’t think of one single good reason to have the terrorist trials in NYC. First, they are people who have declared war on America, not criminals. As combatants, if they are going to be tried, it should be a court martial. Then, they are not Americans and do not have the rights of Americans. American defense attorneys will, of course, do all they can to see their clients freed–that’s the American way–for criminals. How many Nazi soldiers captured in Europe and confined in the US were tried? None–they were combatants, not criminals. It goes on and on. Stupid idea.
