Air Defense Artillery in Iraq

I just learned something I didn’t know. We all know that our enemy in the Mideast are terrorists who fight mostly by night and rarely in large units. Besides this, we completely dominate the air; I’m not sure if there has ever been an enemy aircraft in the sky since Saddam fell. Yet, the Army has an air defense battalion over there–just to be sure. Currently that unit is the 1-188 Air Defense Artillery from North Dakota. Given Iran’s hostile nature and their large air force that’s a prudent move. Way to go, Mother Army.
