Troops, your viewing assignment for March is to watch Thailand Untapped: The Global Reach of Engineers Without Borders.
A Rutgers documentary team follows three engineering students working with the volunteer group “Engineers Without Borders” as they travel to a remote village in Northern Thailand to rebuild a water purification system. The people of Nong Bua have an annual income of $1000 and spend 60% of that on bottled water. The young engineers must gain the trust of the local people and fix failing water system, while coping with political and cultural challenges — all within three weeks’ time.
