Global Warming–A Military Issue

You know our government has failed to tell us about the major problems European nations are having with ungrateful and frequently rioting Syrian immigrants—you know the very ones the government plans to bring here in large numbers. And, there have been zero Department of Justice investigation into the totally corrupt Veterans Administration. We really can’t trust our national government to act or speak the truth we need to hear.

So, it’s no surprise that a year ago the Pentagon asserted that climate change poses an immediate threat to national security, with increased risks from terrorism, infectious disease, global poverty, and food shortages. It also predicted rising demand for military disaster responses as extreme weather creates more global humanitarian crises.

Then, last May, in a speech to the graduates at the US Coast Guard Academy, at a time when our military is facing threats on multiple fronts — like Islamic State in Syria and Iraq or crazy North Korea– President Obama said that climate change needs to be added to that list of threats.
“This is not just a problem for countries on the coast or for certain regions of the world. Climate change will impact every country on the planet. No nation is immune,” the president said. “So I am here today to say that climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. And so we need to act — and we need to act now.”

So, is Climate Change, better known as Global Warming, a serious threat to our military and our nation? You know, that this concern started out being called Global Warming—then when it became clear that the globe was not warming—at least not over time. So then changed it to Climate Change, so now, if it does anything, warm or cool—it’s bad. Only a Political Correctness person could come up with this.

I think it’s clear that Global Warming is not proven science or generally accepted as true by any significant group of people—perhaps excluding those who make a lot of money coming up with selective results that support the Global Warming panic. Did you know that the founder and head of the Weather Channel, certainly a guy who must have some serious insight into our weather—says Global Warming is a hoax—and he’s not alone among weather professionals.

A cover story in Newsweek in 1975 was entitled the Coming Ice Age—they were concerned about the earth freezing. But now it’s Global Warming. So which is it?

There’s a website with a headline that says 97% of all weather scientists believe that Global Warming is a serious problem. Google that for yourself—it’s totally phony, but it’s still quoted as the gospel by Global Warming True Believers.

A standard question when confronted with results of a poll is to ask to see what the questions were, who asked them, who was asked, and when was the poll taken. This will get you a blank stare from members of the Global Warming community. One reason for this is that there was no poll—oops.

Here’s what likely happened. Researchers regularly publish the results of their various studies. These scholarly papers get reviewed and classified.

One of the main researchers behind the 97% scam, John Cook, did, indeed, review a number of scholarly papers. John runs the website SkepticalScience.com and he’s a committed Global Warmist.

Here is Cooks summary. 97% of the papers he surveyed endorsed the view that the earth is warming and human emissions are the main cause. No word as to how he picked the papers he reviewed.

Oh, and some of the researches whose papers he used have stated clearly that he misrepresented their results. Nuf said?

And there’s more. You may know that world leaders are meeting in Paris to deal with the need to cut carbon monoxide emissions to save the world from Global Warming.
A team of top-level atmospheric chemists from France and Germany say they have just identified a new process by which vast amounts of volatile organic compounds are emitted into the atmosphere from the sea – a process which was unknown until now, meaning that existing climate models do not take account of it.

However, over the past 425,000 years, there have been steady patterns of global cooling and warming, including 4 ice ages, the latest being 25k
years ago. And, there were 4 periods that were warmer than our latest
hottest period.
Our latest hot period peaked about 5,000 years ago–since then we
have been on a general cooling trend, notwithstanding a slight up tic
the last 2k years amounting to about 0.7 of one degree C.
Note that 325,000 years ago North American average temps. were the
hottest in all of history, and over 5 degrees C warmer than now.

And the US National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, better known as NOAA, well, their data totally supports this—although, as a government agency they can never make a statement the president doesn’t want them to make.

Bottom line, the climate of our earth is changing as it has been for all of time; it’s certainly not near any extreme. Most of all, it’s not in any way a major threat to our nation—and it’s not something our military needs to be concerned about.
