I do believe that main-stream Islam is a religion of peace. However, religions of peace tend to be very sensitive to the feelings of others. Since Islamists crashed the airliners on 9-11 in the name of Islam, no one with a tiny grain of sensitivity could think that a mosque at Ground Zero was peaceful in nature. So, it is my conclusion that the efforts to build the mosque are the work of Radical Islam.
By the way, the matter of the mosque is a state or local matter–not a federal one. And while most of the media ignored it, a NY Times poll shows that most New Yorkers want the mosque to be relocated (no surprise here).
So, what will the leaders of this religion-of-peace movement do? My bet is that they’ll build it at Ground Zero and shove it up our noses–in the name of peace.
