Happy Birthday

Almost everyone knows, or should know, that today is Flag Day. While Americans should honor their flag every day, this is a special day. I confess that when at a sporting event I do look around a bit during the National Anthem to see who is “too cool” to honor our flag; I’ve had words with some of them.

But, today is also the US Army’s birthday. The Army is the senior service because it was the first military service founded in our nation–on 14 June 1775. So, honor the flag today and say, “Happy Birthday,” to a soldier.
