National Emergencies Require Action

President Obama’s National Emergency declaration must mean that preventative action beyond vaccination is required and demanded, right? Just saying words is nonsense; in an emergency words must be paired with action. So, I expect federal mandates that will help prevent the spread of the disease, like the cancellation of:br /public demonstrationsbr /Pro, college, and high school football gamesbr /The baseball world seriesbr / Maybe limits on the use of mass transportation? Anybody think we’ll see any of these things, or do we have a president who’s all talk and no action and will never, never do anything that might inconvenience the masses.br / If no action is planned, then why the uproar? Maybe it’s to take the media spotlight off his indecision on Afghanistan and failed medical care legislation? There are no leaders in Washington DC—and America’s the poorer for it.
