I really don’t believe it. Almost daily armed convoys of criminals move from Mexico into the US via Arizona; by any definition, this is an invasion that should be countered by our military. However, our federal government has elected that a more appropriate action is to put up signs warning American citizens to stay away from the area because of armed criminals. So Arizona passed a law requiring their police to check legal status of anyone they stop for some other reason–and it’s working. There are fewer illegal aliens.
President Obama’s response to this? Crack down on illegal aliens and armed criminals violating our borders? No. He’s suing Arizona–just in time, too, because other states are considering passing similar laws. By the way, if the federal government were simply enforcing existing laws, all of this would be moot.
