Political Correctness strikes again

A just released Defense Dept review of the Fort Hood shooting has found that, in my opinion, political correctness was the primary cause for the shooting. It seems that the army doctors who oversaw Major Hasan’s medical training repeatedly indicated concern about his radical views on Islam and his very inappropriate behavior–yet they continued to give him positive performance evaluations that kept him moving through school and the ranks of the military. These supervising doctors failed to follow their own guidance about dealing with an officer un-suited to be in the Army, much less as an officer–can you say “political correctness?” Let’s hope that we learn something from this.
