Shocking

President Obama’s national security adviser, retired marine general Jim Jones, told us that the president’s statements today would be shocking. Having heard the president’s talk I heard only one shocking thing–this is the first time in a year that something went wrong and he didn’t blame former president Bush. The president also said that the buck stops with him, which means that he isn’t going to fire any of the incompetents who failed to do their jobs. My wife believes that the real reason for this nonsense speech is to take the media attention away from the Congress where they’re trying to find a way to get the stupid health reform bill passed without following normal Congressional procedures. I think she’s right.
