The bad guys in Afghanistan, fighting in one of the poorest and most remote regions on earth, continue to conduct intensive war against the better armed and equipped US amp; Afghan forces.br /Here’s one, fairly obvious explanation of how they get supplied. Weapons and ammunition taken from dead insurgents show that: Of 30 rifle magazines recently taken from dead bad guys, at least 17 contained cartridges identical to ammunition the US had provided to Afghan government forces, this according to an examination of ammunition markings by The New York Times and interviews with US officers and arms dealers.br /I hope that on one is surprised that such stealing and reselling takes place in very poor countries. How does one stop that when resources are needed to feed one’s family? We do need to continue to investigate such activities, but there is literally nothing we can do to stop it.
