The 2 War Strategy

Our nation has, since the end of World War II, had a two-war strategy. That is, we needed the men, equipment, and plans to conduct two wars at the same time, if necessary. This kept the bad guys from thinking that if we were tied up with combat operations somewhere (Korea, Vietnam, Panama) then they had a free hand. They knew that we could commit forces somewhere else, too. The latest word from the Pentagon is that this strategy is about to end. Of course, it would require growing the military–as it’s too small now to even handle the one war we do have going. Well, that is clearly not going to happen. So, the US will become much more vulnerable to being pushed around or blackmailed by the dictators of the world. This is a dangerous situation for all of us.
