The media just noticed that the military is doing things that count as “green.” While I certainly don’t favor trashing the planet, neither do I think that global warming is a valid concern. So what is the military up to?
Our military noted that they lost people to ambushes when they ran tanker convoys, so they started looking into creative solutions. Solar power worked in some places; and tightening up some buildings reduced the amount of power needed to cool them. Of course the Navy’s been using nuclear power for ships for years. And, yes, they’re looking at other creative fuels, too. And they did most of this without any “political correctness” for motivation.
