Two dead–but it’s not combat?

The combat infantry brigade that is still in Iraq–but is now called an Advise and Assist Brigade–so it’s not really a combat unit. Anyway, two of its fine soldiers were recently killed by rifle fire. I wonder if they were advising or assisting when they were engaged in combat. This is war–infantrymen are combatants; why can’t we call things what they are?

  • They need to put some of these congressmen`s and obama`s families over her without weapons and tell them to go at it . This is suicide for these great kids . It`s a shame and travesty that we ask us to protect us with such leadership pulling the strings for political power .

    • The president is the commander in chief; if he says it’s not combat then–maybe you’re right. Some Washington big shots should go over there.
